I came to Chennai on April 1, 2004 after I got my 1st job. Chennai was a completely new place for me and like others, I too also had apprehensions as to how I would cope up in this new city. I and my father were introduced to Lukose uncle and Thankamma aunty through Rajan Uncle(P S Thomas). They had a 1BR portion on the 2nd floor which was going to get vacant in a month's time. My father was quite keen on that place as he found uncle and aunty to be very warm and also since they were part of our church. But getting an interim place for a month was proving to be a challenge. Thankamma aunty and Lukose uncle were magnanimous in offering me to stay with them for a period till their tenants moved out. And that's how I found a home in Chennai. Both uncle and aunty were so warm and caring and they looked after me like their own son. Will never forget aunty's hospitality. She was a wonderful cook. Uncle was a soft-spoken man but extremely religious and a complete family man. He would always enquire about my well being and ensure that I was taken care of. Even after I moved to the rented place on the 2nd floor, both uncle and aunty would occasionally invite me to pray and have a meal with them. I really miss those wonderful days that I spent with them. I knew uncle was ailing for quite some time but his death came as a big shock. I pray to Lord Almighty that his soul may find eternal peace. Sending my love and prayers to aunty. Also a big hug to Biju chayan and Brinson. Continue to pray for the family, especially aunty.
Warm regards & Prayers
