Linda Howard Brust's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Brust, who left us peacefully on April 5, 2025.
Early Life & Family
Linda was born in December 1951 in Germany. At the age of seven, she and her family emigrated to the United States, where she joyfully met her sister Rita for the first time. She was lovingly raised by her foster parents, Betty and Frank Collins, whose guidance and care nurtured her strong spirit and deep capacity for love.
Faith & Community
A devoted Christian, Linda’s faith in our Lord was the guiding light of her life. She found comfort in prayer, inspiration in scripture, and strength in fellowship. She shared that gift freely—whether leading a hymn at church, volunteering at Riverhills Church Children’s Sunday School, or offering a listening ear to a friend in need.
Personal Joys
Family was Linda’s greatest joy. As a loving mother to her daughter Stacy, she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting her only child. In later years, her true delight came from her three grandchildren—Jordan, Jade, and Gabriel—whose laughter brightened every afternoon she spent by the sea. She cherished those moments of calm ocean breeze, often closing her eyes and letting the gentle wind carry her worries away.
Known for her warm sense of humor and boundless energy, Linda could turn an ordinary afternoon into a memorable occasion with playful jokes and spontaneous games.
Career
Linda’s professional journey was a point of pride. She worked for many years at Honeywell and later retired from Lockheed Martin as a production line technician and quality control operator, where her dedication and attention to detail earned her the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike.
