Leroy Pellum's Obituary
Leroy Gibson Pellum, was born May 13, 1935, to Wilburn and Cedella Pellum in Ruskin, Florida. He passed away, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s, on May 16, 2023, at Good Shepherd Hospice House of Lakeland surrounded by his family in love.
Leroy is preceded in death by his wife of 60+ years, Sylvia, both of his parent’s (Wilburn & Cedella), his brother Mike Pellum, his son Johnny Pellum, daughter Donna Freeman, and his grandson Steven Baker II.
Leroy is survived by his daughter’s Dedra Graves (Chris), Denise Cates and Ashley MacKenn (Jake); his beloved sister Joyce Gambrell (Melvin); 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Leroy dedicated 22 years of service the United States Air Force. This included many tours overseas and many stations across the United States.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens on May 27th with visitation beginning at 10a.m. and a graveside service beginning at 11a.m., including a 21-gun salute.
