Laura A. Yoder's Obituary
Laura A. Yoder, 93, passed away August 17, 2015. She was born October 17, 1921 in Nappanee, Indiana to the late Andrew and Clara (Hershberger) Helmuth. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Henry; brothers, Christ and Harry; sisters, Katie, Martha and Minnie; step children, Roman, Alvin, Elmer and Mary Lou.
Laura came to Sarasota County in 1980 from Thomas, Oklahoma and was a member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church. She loved quilting for charitable organizations.
Left to cherish her memory are her step-sons, Emory Yoder and his wife Mary Ellen of Parsons, Kansas and Ivan Yoder and his wife Polly of Burrton, Kansas; sister, Fannie Beachy of Sarasota; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 1001 Honore Avenue, Sarasota, Florida 34232. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM followed by interment in Sunnyside Mennonite Church Cemetery.
