Kimberly Jane Englert's Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce that Kimberly Englert, age 66, of Plant City, FL, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, of respiratory failure after a short, but hard-fought, battle with lung disease. She was surrounded by her family as she eagerly went into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Kim was born on May 21, 1959, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Edward and Marjorie Grothaus. She was the youngest of four siblings and was preceded in death by her oldest sister, Susan (Mark) Grostefan. She is survived by her sister Sharon (Wayne) Light and brother Mark (Sue) Grothaus. On August 21, 1976, she married her soulmate, Steven Englert. Together they shared more than 49 beautiful years of marriage. She leaves behind her beloved husband Steven; their two children and spouses, Eric (Kathleen) Englert and Amy (Efrain) Perez; four grandchildren, Cameron (Liliana) Englert, Bryce Englert, Landen Hepler, and Sofia Perez; and one great-grandchild, Moses Englert.
Kim lived a life defined by deep faith, unwavering devotion to her family, and a servant’s heart toward everyone she encountered. As a devoted Christian, she loved the Lord with all her heart and reflected that faith through her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. For many years, Kim lovingly cared for her husband Steven, demonstrating daily what true commitment and devotion look like.
Kim was also an incredibly dedicated and hardworking professional within the construction industry. Most recently, she became the first employee of her son’s company, KCB Consulting Solutions, where she spent nearly seven years helping build its foundation and support its growth. To many at KCB, she became much more than a colleague — she was a surrogate mom, trusted advisor, and source of encouragement, whose influence will continue to shape the company for years to come.
In her younger years, Kim loved riding, training, and showing horses. As an adult, she enjoyed reading, playing cards and putting together puzzles — a tradition that often brought the whole family together during holidays.
Though her family’s hearts are broken by her passing, they find comfort in knowing Kim is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, faith, and unconditional love will live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her hometown of Fort Wayne, IN, at a date to-be-determined.
