Katherine A. Bentrud's Obituary
Katherine Avie Bentrud (Kinchen) of Port Richey, Florida passed peacefully in her home on Friday, December 28th, 2018 with her beautiful family by her side. She was born to Horace Eugene and Helen A. Kinchen (Haban), on January 27th, 1960, in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Kathy was passionate about others and pursued a career in the medical profession. She graduated with an associates degree, medical assistant degree and also loved to serve and care for elderly as a CNA. She attended Christ Fellowship Church of Tampa and had an unwavering faith with the love of God was like a constant stream.
Kathy is survived by her beautiful daughters, Katherine Glasgow and companion Dave Bachtel, Kristy (George) Mann, and Brittany (Jeremy) Vanderloop and preceded in death by her loving sons, Kevin Glasgow and Kenneth Kinchen; her brothers, Buddy Kinchen, Jeff Kinchen, Jerry Kinchen; her sisters, Patricia Slate, Molly Duncan, Susan Schmidt; as well as her 11 grandchildren; a grandson on the way and a great-grandson, many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Kathy was a beacon of light to all around her, never judgmental but always selflessly loving and serving others. She was an incredibly meek woman who had a smile that would light up a room. She spent a lot of her free time giving to others, and helping any in need. Katherine means pure and her name is an accurate description of who she was.
