Julio V Perez Bonilla's Obituary
Julio Víctor Pérez Bonilla passed away peacefully and in presence of his beloved family on May 4, 2024.
Born in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico on February 14,1949. He was married to the love of his life for over 50 years, the late Librada Cancel, who passed away 3 1/2 years ago. They had 3 children Julio Victor Perez jr, Blanca I Pérez and Catherine Perez. He was also proud of his seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren who he adored. They started their married lives in New York City in the early 70’s later on moving to raise their kids in Añasco, Puerto Rico. He spent the last 17 years living between Tampa and Puerto Rico.
He was a big inspiration to all when it came to Construction and farming. He loved to help families build their homes and enjoyed doing small remodeling as well. He spent many long hours on his land in Cabo Rojo planting fruits and vegetable. He loved to share his crops with everyone that came across him, his neighbors, family and even strangers. Our family leaned on him firming during tough times and he was a rock that never let us down. That strength he possessed wasn’t flashy or in your face. In many ways he was a quiet, unassuming man who just got on with things. But it was beneath the surface that his principles and determination lay. We will always remember his story telling, his sometimes-serious remarks followed by a smile or a wink. He loved gathering with his family as well as his faithful companion dog Angel.
No matter where we are, his spirit will always be by our side.
