Julia Dawn Miller's Obituary
Julia Dawn Miller, of Thonotosassa, Fl. passed away Friday, September 6th, 2024. She was born on March 16th, 1932, in Sutton, West Virgina. The daughter of Benjamin and Lucille (Freeman) Huffman. Julia was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School in Ohio. She married Austin F. Miller on August 12th, 1950. Austin and Julia moved to Southington, Ohio where they raised their 5 children. Julia was an active part in the Mother’s Club and was employed by Packard Corp, Middlefield, Ohio.
In 1980, they came to Thonotosassa and started a family trucking company. Julia had always been an active part of this business and enjoyed her time there. She loved working in her yard and tending to her flowers. When not tending to the business or the flowers she could be found spending time at the beach and traveling. She was a dedicated Rays baseball supporter, and more so a dedicated fan of her family and friends near and far whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Lucille Huffman, her husband, Austin Miller, son Mark Miller of Southington, Ohio, son John Miller of Thonotosassa, Fl, son Daniel Miller of Zephyrhills, FL., daughter Deborah Barnes of Thonotosassa, Fl., granddaughter Melissa Paul of Zephyrhills, FL., and brother Bill Huffman of Lakeland, Fl. She is survived by daughter Nancy Hammer (Mark) of Thonotosassa, Fl. and many grandchildren.
Julia was a grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. May her legacy carry on from generation to generation.
