Juanita "Hope" Peterson's Obituary
Juanita Hope Peterson
June 2, 1944 – January 19, 2023
Juanita Hope Peterson was born June 2nd, 1944, in Staten Island, New York. Hope as she was known by her family and friends grew up on Long Island.
Hope graduated from North Babylon Senior High School in 1962. Some of her high school interests were volleyball, apparatus, future nurses club, and senior committees. Hope graduated high school with a scholarship to college and an opportunity to be an airline stewardess but chose to start a family instead.
Hope had health issues that changed the course of her life but didn't change the beautiful person she was. If you had the good fortune to know her, you were lucky. She had a way of making those around her feel better even when she was not well. She was smart as a whip with a great sense of humor and loved music, especially Tom Jones. She did not have the easiest life but never complained or asked for more than she had and was grateful for the smallest things.
Hope is preceded by her parents and survived by siblings Geraldine Moore, William Miller, Betty Pecchio (Richard), Patti Logue (Bobby), April Blair (Drew), Michael Miller (Sherri), Steven Miller (Carol), and by her children Richard Peterson (Julie), Laura Jiminian (Robert), Hope Howell (Dan), Deborah Agudelo (Heyder), plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Hope loved God and continued her walk with Christ throughout her life. On January 19, 2023, at age of 78 Hope gained her wings and now rests in peace.
Vistation will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 11005 US-301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592. Wednesday January 25th at 1pm.
Hope will be forever in our hearts and thoughts. She will be missed by each of us.
