Joyce E Jones' Obituary
Jones, Joyce E. of Ruskin, Florida passed away on February 11, 2021. She was born in Dublin, Georgia on July 27, 1939, but lived in Florida most of her life.
She is joining her parents in heaven, Johnny, and Louise Floyd, as well as her two brothers Bobby Floyd and Glenn Floyd. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Jackie L. Jones and her two daughters, Brenda Jones (Freida), and Jacqueline Jones, brothers Clyde Floyd, Donnie Floyd (Kenny), Roy Floyd, Michael Floyd (Danny), and sister Deborah Cimo.
She loved flowers of all types but had a special affection for roses. Her yard was filled with flowers and plants of all types. She enjoyed sharing her garden with family and friends, giving tours, and providing the stories of each and how they had touched her life. She loved to bake and was famous for her special “coconut cake.” However, the most precious thing in her life was her family. She loved family gatherings and all the reminiscing that went along with it. She was a wife, mother, mentor, daughter, sister, and a friend to all, whether it was blood or someone she just met. But most of all, she was Jack’s lifeline, her husband the love of her life for 62 years.
A celebration of her life will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Wednesday Feb.17, 2021 located at 11005 N. US 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592. The celebration will be a graveside celebration. Flowers can be sent to Sunset Memorial Gardens or in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Shriner’s Hospital by going to their website or calling them directly at 813-975-7119.
