Joseph "Reace" Coleman's Obituary
On March 2, 2021, Joseph “Reace” Coleman, 76, of Zephyrhills, Florida was received into Jesus’s loving arms.
Reace was a loving husband and father. He loved everyone unconditionally and his sweet nature was admirable. He loved his family and friends with all his heart.
Reace was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on September 24th, 1944 and spent his early years in Denham Springs and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He later moved to Florida and lived in the Cocoa Beach area and then in Tampa and Zephyrhills.
Reace loved to fish and spent many hours, days, and years with family and friends enjoying a good fishing spot and sharing smiles and laughter while doing so. He also enjoyed a good football game and watching a good western/cowboy tv show or movie.
Reace is survived by his wife of 53 years: Stanley “Jean” Coleman; his children: Timothy Coleman and Amy Godfrey; his grandchildren: Emily Coleman, Jeffrey Godfrey and Jake Godfrey. He is also survived by
his sister: Mildred “Millie” Yawn. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law: Dawn Coleman and son-in-law: Michael Godfrey. He is also survived by countless other family members including cousins, nieces, nephews, and all his friends.
Reace is preceded in passing by his father: Walter James Coleman Sr; his mother: Cleo Burgess Coleman; his sister: Gracie Norton and brother: Walter “James” Coleman Jr.
A Celebration of Reace’s life will be held on March 22, 2021 from 10-12pm with a service at 12 pm at Sunset Funeral Home.
