Johnny Parker Partin's Obituary
Johnny Parker Partin, 76, passed away October 31, 2015. He was born September 20, 1939 in Decherd, Tennessee to the late Mills and Annie (Bradford) Partin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 brothers.
Johnny was born and raised in Thonotosassa and lived for a while in Tennessee. Two years ago he relocated to Ocala. He spent his life training horses. In the early 80’s he raised a horse from birth named “Spend-A-Buck who, under Johnny’s care, won the Kentucky Derby in 1985. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and Nascar.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Paula of Ocala; son, Johnny Partin III of Zephyrhills; step children, Wendal Curtis Rimes, Jr. and his wife Kim of Naples; Roy Dennis Rimes and his wife Leslie of Severeville, Tennessee; Joshua Lee Rimes and his wife Sabrina of LaBelle, Florida; and Adam Troy Rimes of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Betty Rocker; Sue Gurgler and her husband Bill; and Judith and her husband Don all of Tampa, Florida; 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
