John H. Miller's Obituary
John H. Miller, “John Boy”, entered into rest April 28, 2015. He was born in Southington, Ohio on September 17, 1962. He was the son of Austin and Julia Miller. He is survived by his mother, Julia Miller of Thonotossasa, his children, John Miller, Richard Miller, David Lance, Tara Duhring, Brother Dan Miller (Darlene) of Zephyrhills, sisters Debbie Barnes and Nancy Hammer (Mark) of Thonotossasa. He was preceded in death by his father Austin Miller and brother Mark Miller.
John was a special giving and loving man all throughout his life. He followed in his father’s footsteps, finishing high school and joining his family’s business, Miller & Sons Trucking Inc., of Thonotossasa. He became a business man in “Blue Jeans and Boots” and sported the Mullet hairstyle even after it was not in style. He enjoyed the simple country lifestyle and made Thonotossasa home. He was always willing to help and understand the troubles of other people, and could be seen fixing up and improving what was around him. When passing him on the street a simple waive is what he would give, when seeing him in person a greeting of “Hey Buddy” was what was heard. John had many business associates and friends who held a special place in his heart. One in particular, his neighbor, Marvin Wyly. For over 30 years they were Buddies. They could be found after work at the “Toy Box or Tiki Hut” having a beer and talking about important things like women, politics, mud trucks, and all the adventures they had been on and were going on. John had many likes and involvements. He was a son and member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, and helped with the creation of the flag site in Hillsborough County. He was more than a fan of The Florida State Seminols and could be heard chanting anytime he would see a Gator fan. John was an amazing man and no words could explain him. He left a legacy for his children and special memories for all that knew him.
