John "Larry" Goza's Obituary
John, better known as “Larry” to all who knew him, left this world early in the morning on 04/29/2021. Born and raised in Illinois, he and his family moved to Florida when he was 14, where he lived out the remainder of his long life, spending the last 43 years in his Valrico home. Retiring in 1991 after 31 years from Carolina Freight where he spent the bulk of his tenure as a local trucker, working with his best friend, Alan Moffitt. In his spare time, he did everything from serving as an auxiliary deputy of the Hillsborough County Sheriff Department to volunteering as a firefighter for the Hillsborough County Fire Department. He also still found the time to coach his sons little league teams and later also coaching his grandson’s teams. His passions were those of most old farm boys, loving fishing, hunting, riding a motorcycle, and anything else he could find to do outdoors.
He was proceeded in death by his father, John Franklin Goza, his mother, Alma Goza, and his son, Marvin Wacaser, as well as many siblings.
He was survived by his Wife; Lee Anne Goza, sons; John Larry Goza Jr. (Sandra), and Melvin Wacaser (Gina), Daughters; Sherri Caulder (Jerry), and Missy Wacaser, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren, as well as multiple siblings.
