Joan Probst's Obituary
The world lost a beloved mother, Joan Probst, on March 24, 2021. Joan died in her home surrounded by both her daughter, Cindi and daughter-in-law, Carol.
Joan was born in Buffalo, NY on January 23, 1939 to Amelia and Theodore Kubiak. She dedicated her life to creating and nurturing a family environment that was centered around love, understanding and encouragement for her husband Ronald, and three children - Cindi, David and Garrett.
Joan had several careers in both the Buffalo, NY and Tampa, FL areas, to provide for her family and then, in turn, to pursue her passion for interior decorating. Remembering her love of carousel horses - and her selfless, loving, “mom” nature to give a comforting head scratching for what seemed like hours, when you needed to feel safe and loved.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ronald Probst of 51 years, and her son David Probst, as well as her siblings Michael Kubiak, Patsy Majewski and Richie Kubiak.
Joan is survived by her children, Cindi (Patrick) Dunn, Garrett (Carol) Probst and grandchildren: James (Michele) Dunn, Joe (Brandy) Dunn, Jessica Probst, Jeremy Probst, great-grandchildren Aaron Dunn, Ryan Dunn as well as her siblings Barbara Hand and Rosie (Bobbie) Burnel. Lest we forget Toby, her faithful Yorkie that would not leave her side for the last seven years.
