Jeneva M. Barber's Obituary
Jeneva Maile (Fraas) Barber, 40 years, of Land O’Lakes, formerly of Bethel Park, PA, went home to the Lord on Christmas Eve December 24, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Jen was born on March 20, 1981 in Hawaii to Randy Fraas, Sr. and Kristine Smith. She grew up in Pittsburgh, where she graduated salutatorian from Bethel Park High School. Jen was an extremely accomplished swimmer winning Pennsylvania State championships in multiple events. She attended the University of Florida where she met the love of her life, James Barber of Land ‘O Lakes. They married on June 16, 2007. Jen was a clinical counselor serving children and families needing therapy for trauma.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Fraas, Sr., Patricia Fraas, Harry Jabo Sr., and Rosemarie Jabo.
She is survived by her loving husband, James, her pride and joy, sons Jimmy, Josh, and Cale, father and mother Randy and Rose Fraas of Bethel Park, PA, brothers Riley of California, Randy (Emily) of Washington, PA, sisters Rosie Fraas Niznik (Ryan) of Pittsburgh, PA and Sandy Marks (Aaron) of Scott Township, PA and sister-in-law of Priscilla Fraas of Washington, PA, father and mother-in-law Bert and Cheryl Barber of Tampa. She is also survived by many sister and brother in-laws, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She had accomplished so much competitively, personally, and professionally, but her greatest joy came from being with her children and husband. She was deeply loved and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at Tampa Bay Presbyterian Church on Wednesday 12/29/21 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at the church on Thursday 12/30/21 at 10:00 AM.
