Janet Lewis' Obituary
Janet Maureen Lewis, 72, of Thonotosassa, Florida went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2021. She was born on August 11, 1948 in Kansas City, MO. In her early years she loved to ride horses and was a master at roller skating. In junior high school and high school, she was very involved with FHA (future homemakers of America)and leader of the youth group at Hyde Park United Methodist Church in Tampa, FL. She did mission work in the Bahamas with the youth.
She spent a year in college wanting to become a nurse but decided to use her people skills and secretarial skills as a supervisor for a major paper company.
Janet was smart, pretty, crafty and very much a leader.
She is survived by her loving, devoted husband, Doug of Thonotosassa, FL and her sister Christy Friters and her husband Patrick of Leesburg, FL, two nephews, Dr. Michael Friters and his wife, Gwynne, great nephew Tyler and great niece Alexandra, Major Matthew Friters and his wife Pat, great niece AUDREY and great nephew Ryan.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She was a beloved wife, sister and aunt. She will be forever missed.
