Janet Delia Landry's Obituary
Janet Delia Landry, 83, went home to be with the Lord, after a short battle with cancer, on May 14, 2026, with friends and family by her side.
Janet was born in Worcester, MA to the late Thomas Mahoney and Delia (Azzarone).
She attended Gage Street School where she met her very best friend, Donna, and has remained friends for the last 78 years. Later in life, they traveled together, every year, to the Dominican with their spouses.
Her greatest passion in life was her husband of 62 years, Fred. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for him to make him happy. Even in her sickness and last days, she was more concerned about his health and well-being than her own.
Her second passion was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was in attendance to any function they were involved in. Those included sports, dance, pageants, military competitions, girl scouts, boy scouts, dirt bike races, orchestra concerts and many more.
Janet never met a person who she didn’t either minister to or share her love for Jesus.
Waiting to welcome her home were her parents, Thomas and Delia Mahoney, her sister, Delores and brother Johnny.
She leaves her husband of 62 years, Fred, daughter, Cheryl Davidson (Jeffery), son, Mark (Stephanie), five grandchildren, Staci, Adreona, Nick, Mark Anthony and Josh and nine great-grandchildren.
She also leaves her siblings, Tommy, Linda and Michael.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 21st at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10-12, with services at 12.
Burial will be held on Friday, May 22nd at Bushnell National Cemetery at 12:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Moffitt Cancer Center in her name.
