James Daniel Prosch's Obituary
My Dad, James (Jim) Daniel Prosch, passed away last night peacefully in his sleep at the age of 93. He will be deeply missed by me, his daughter or aka, “Daddy’s Girl”. He was born in Oak Park, IL and grew up in Berwyn, IL and then married his high school sweetheart, Joan O Hurt (deceased). My Dad owned his own business in the TV Repair Service, in 2 locations, in Berwyn, IL and Tampa, FL for over 50 years. Our family consisted of myself and my sister, Karen Prosch Bergmeier (deceased), along with my sister’s kids. My Dad knew he had the best grandkids with me, our girls, Shelby and Jenny, along with his cat, Max who was 21 years old when he died.
I was very fortunate to have his last 7 years of his life. These years were trying on both of us, since we have not lived with each other for the past 45 years – personalities change. I am too much like my dad! I know he is in a happy place now with my mom and we will be together again one day.
Per my dad’s request, I will not be having any services, Dad did say, if you wanted to make a donation to Florida Boxer Rescue (www.flbr.org) an organization Dad was glad to know about because of his granddaughter, Shelby. Shelby was always there for my dad and would lay with him for hours.
Love you Dad and will miss you. Remember Dad, behind every great daughter is a truly amazing Dad! Rick Gibson, Shelby and Jenny send their love to you, too!
