James Lewis' Obituary
James “Jim“ Edward Lewis, 84, of Riverview, FL died on Dec. 11, 2020. Born Oct. 15, 1936, in Lakeland, FL, to Elsie (née Robinson) and Curtis Lewis, Jim grew up in Lake Wales, later moving to the Tampa area. A machinist by trade, he retired from The Continental Can Company. In tandem with this Jim was a natural sportsman, excelling in fishing, competitive golf, pro bowling, and championship (barefoot) waterskiing. Hard-working, down to earth, outgoing, and quite fearless — a true alpha male — he was the epitome’ of a “man’s man.” A strong, deep-rooted family patriarch, “Jimpa” is loved and cherished by many and will be forever missed. Survivors include wife Vivi Lewis, daughters Cindy Hicks and Anita Nolet (Bill Cook), stepsons Allen Campbell, Wayne Campbell (Virginia Campbell), 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded by both parents, a brother, sister, and son, Eddie. Private/family services will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa.
