I had the honor of working for Mr. Kennedy, at District Seven DOT. He was a great leader led with a stern arm to get the best results and by golly he got it, with respect for his colleagues. He was full of life, fun, loved a good joke. He was known as Mr. DOT as well as KING of the Highways, that was posted in the Tampa Tribune front page. I was so proud to work for Jim, he made a great difference and purpose in all of our lives. May God Bless, you will be highly remembered Sir.

I am very appreciative for the time Jim took in helping me in my career. It makes me smile thinking about the memory of my learning to put a presentation together for a roadway project pursuit which I was definitely testing his patience. I am very appreciative to have worked with him to have seen how his mind created the vision for the projects. I know he helped so many people including myself in developing their careers. He challenged the people around him to make things happen. Thank you
