James M Jacko Sr's Obituary
James M. Jacko Sr., 86, of Land O’ Lakes, FL, died the morning of May 12, 2023 in his home.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 11,1936 to Michael E. Jacko and Elizabeth (Elsie) Jacko.
A carpenter by trade, Jim was an amazing Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. To let go of this one of kind man is very heart felt for all who loved him. He was extremely dedicated to family and always put others first, a true selfless man. He taught us all the value of family, honestly hard work and an appreciation for the simple things in life. Loved by so many he will never be forgotten. His loving memory will forever be carried in the hearts of all those he loved and who loved him.
Jim was born in Cleveland, Ohio and later settled in Florida and Georgia with Florida being his final home with his grandson Devon Cole. He lived his professional career as a carpenter who traveled around the country completing work for Revco. Jim spent his later years enjoying the beautiful natural setting of his home in Land O' Lakes, Florida where he was surrounded by grandaddy oaks and pine trees. He loved porch sitting where he could enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee or family gatherings where he was surrounded by those he loved.
Jim was preceded in death by Parents Michael E. Jacko and Elizabeth (Elsie) Jacko, ex-wife Janice and beloved daughter Marci.
Loving Brother to Tom & Linda Jacko, Betty Nadeo and Marie Rose.
Jim is survived by his children Jimmy & wife Michelle, John and wife Clarissa, Joe, Jeff, Donica, Vanessa and husband JP, and Leslie and husband Joel. He is also survived by his grandchildren Tara, Jaime, Mikey, Gabby, Victoria, Robert, Devon, Paxton, Corbin, Reese, and Jude, and Great Grandchildren Richie, Andrew, Elizabeth, Riley, Carson, Eyoany, Taylor, Neveah, Liliana and Sophie.
A Funeral will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Sunset Funeral Home & Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service.
