Iris Minerva Figueroa's Obituary
Iris Minerva Figueroa, 72, passed away April 17, 2017. She was born November 20, 1944 in San Juan, Puerto Rico to the late Jaime Figueroa and Rita Molina. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gilberto Medina.
Iris came to Tampa in 1994 from Puerto Rico. She was a Catholic and enjoyed shopping, gardening and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Aixa Rijos and Kendra Rijos, both of Tampa; son, Roberto Rijos and his wife Leida of Yonkers, New York; sister, Miriam Figueroa and her husband Wiso of Puerto Rico; brother, Carlos Bruno of Tampa; grandchildren, Enixa, Kendra, Kilbert, Lydia, Alicia, Nico, Hailey, Anabella and Natalia; great grandson, Vincent; former husband, Roberto M. Rijos; and former son-in-law, Carlos Franceschi.
Services will be private. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Komen breast cancer fund at http://ww5.komen.org. Memories and condolences may be left online at www.sunset-fh.com.
