Herminda Duarte de Vecino's Obituary
Herminda Duarte de Vecino passed away peacefully on October 9th, 2022 with her family by her side.
Herminda was born on January 20th, 1928 in Zapatoca, Santander, Colombia. She was the last daughter of Fermin Duarte and Elvira Guarin. Herminda is survived by her daughters Lucila Hart and Marta (John) Ewig and her granddaughters Carolina and Jacqueline Ewig.
Herminda was a lifelong devoted Catholic. She raised her two daughters with discipline and taught them the values of the Catholic faith.
She was a great cook and a very creative dressmaker. She loved to be around people and enjoyed talking with them.
She will be greatly missed by all of her nieces and nephews who live in Colombia.
Service to Celebrate Herminda’s life will be held in the Chapel of Sunset Memory Gardens in Tampa, FL. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m on Thursday, October 13th, 2022 followed by Catholic Mass at 2:00 p.m and burial at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Asocol Tampa.
