Gussie Lee Cothron's Obituary
Gussie Lee Cothron, 95, of Lutz, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026.
Gussie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including canning fresh fruits and vegetables, hunting, and spending her days searching for treasures at yard sales. Her warmth, strength, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank A. Cothron, and her children, Jackie Cothron, Patricia (Cothron) Miley, Terry Cothron, and Johnny Cothron.
Gussie is survived by her grandchildren, James Miley, Jr., Pamela (Miley) Couch, Daniel Miley, and Janet (Cothron) Turner, as well as many cherished great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N. U.S. Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service and graveside service.
