Geronimo B. Torres' Obituary
Geronimo B. Torres, 93, of Tampa Florida passed away on January 11, 2018. Geronimo was born in Malolos Bulacan, Philippines to Dalmacio and Donata Torres. Geronimo was a World War II veteran of the Philippine Scouts. He fought jointly with the American Forces during the Japanese occupation in the Philippines. He also spearheaded the Philippines Catholic Cursillo Movement and was an avid cook, however, his true joy and happiness were spending time with his family.
Geronimo is survived by Zenaida a loving wife of 66 years; Children: Buenafe T. Robertson of Independence, MO, Rose Torres Labayen of Temple Terrace, FL, Edgardo M. Torres and wife Marilou of Cicero, IL, Marilyn Torres and Antonio Cunanan of Temple Terrace, FL, and Reynaldo Torres and Wife Gia Anna of Manila, Philippines; Sister Catalina Torres Crisostomo of Manila, Philippines; Grandchildren: Christine, Gus, Jim, Joshua, Jonathan, Raven, and Benjamin; and along with many other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday January 15, 2018 from 10am-11am at Sunset Memory Gardens 11005 N. US HWY 301 Thonotosassa FL 33592, a Funeral Mass will follow at 11am.
Inurnment at Sunset Memory Gardens on Friday January 19, 2018 at 2pm.
