Geraldine Carr's Obituary
Geraldine Carr, 78 passed away June 13th with her family by her side. Geraldine moved to the area in 1985 from Charleston WV. She is predeceased in life by her parents Robert and Violet Clay, son Garland Carr, Jr. brother and sister-in-law Robert and Pete Hicks and brothers Richard, Robert Jr and Archie Clay.
She is survived by her brother Charles Clay, her children, Robert Carr Sr., David Carr and Kim Fields (Bill) Law), her grandchildren; Matthew Casto, Andrew (Helena), Ashley, Robert Jr (Ashley), Jessie (AJ), Jordan, Cindy (Rob), Taylor, Rachel (Aliyanna) Elizabeth and Eli Carr. Great-grandchildren Jerica, Anthony, Laney, Hunter, Bayleigh and Alastor. Beloved family friend, Ricky Costner. Geraldine was a server in the restaurant industry for her entire career before retiring to be full-time grandmother to 4 granddaughters’ that she was raising. She loved her family and friends and was devoted to doing for all of them. She enjoyed cooking and would plan her next meal, while eating the one in front of her. Geraldine was sassy, with a vivacious personality and a fighting spirit. If she were here, in her words, “I was a hard worker, hands-on grandmother and crazy senior who loved my family above all. I want to thank my children and granddaughters that helped shuttle me to and from these last few years, made me sammies, managed my meds, cleaned up after me and apologized for my bad behavior. Love you all!”
