George Wayne Tomberlin's Obituary
George Wayne Tomberlin, 73, passed away September 16, 2016. He was born August 6, 1943 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late George and Mary (Davis) Tomberlin. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Glenn and granddaughter, Stephanie.
George moved to the Tampa Bay area when he was an infant and has been a lifelong resident since. He retired as a cableman from GTE. Following retirement, he purchased Action Spa Company. He was an avid hunter and loved to build and fix things. He was a member of a hunting club and Riverhills Church of God.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Janet; sons, Steve Tomberlin of Brandon; and David Tomberlin of Riverview; brother, Kenneth Tomberlin and his wife Vicki of Valrico; sister, Shirley Fletcher and her husband Donnie of Okeechobee; grandchildren, Casey, Christian, Shaye, Rose-Marie and Joel.
There will be a visitation on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Riverhills Church of God, 6310 E. Sligh Avenue, Tampa, Florida. Funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm.
