Gary Ippolito's Obituary
Gary Ippolito, 70, of Plant City, passed away Sept. 9,2023. He was born in Tampa, Florida, to Emilio and Wilma Ippolito. Family was paramount to Gary, extending this to include the boys and young men he coached in baseball. Gary met his wife during high school. He spent the next 53 years involved in baseball. He was starting 3Rd base for the 71” Robinson State Champs and was on the inaugural HCC team with Coach Garcia. He loved coaching his 4 sons thru Little League, Legion, and High School. He finished as an Asst. hitting coach at Robinson high school. He loved inshore fishing, bowling, and watching ballgames, especially the Rays. He enjoyed putting on Super Bowl parties. Most important, was attending the grandkids ballgames, recitals, concerts, and holidays. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda; sons, Louis & Courtney, Vincent & Jennifer, Nickolas & Rachel, and Clint. He was “Big Guy” to his 8 grandchildren, Hunter, Andrew, Bella, Dominic, Eli, Addisyn, Daniel, and Wyatt. Celebration of Life will be held on Oct. 2, 2023, at 6:00pm, Sons of Italy, 3315 W. Lemon Street, Tampa.
