Con profundo dolor anunciamos el fallecimiento de Freddy A Castrillón, nuestro amado esposo, padre y abuelo, quien partió el 13 de febrero de 2026 en Ruskin, Florida, a la edad de 70 años, tras una valiente lucha contra el cáncer.
Nació el 21 de agosto de 1955 en San Jerónimo, Antioquia, Colombia. Llegó a este país con el sueño de construir un mejor futuro para su familia y, con esfuerzo y sacrificio, les brindó una vida hermosa llena de amor y oportunidades.
Fue el esposo de Maria Piedad Castrillón, padre de Lina Ruiz (George Ruiz) y Carlos Castrillón (Adriana Castrillón), y abuelo de Paris, Luna, Camila y Daniela, a quienes adoraba profundamente.
Será recordado por su hermosa sonrisa que iluminaba cualquier lugar, su alegre sentido del humor, su generosidad, su fe firme, su amor por la salsa clásica y los tangos argentinos, y su pasión por el fútbol — especialmente por Atlético Nacional y Real Madrid.
Su legado de amor, fe y dedicación a su familia vivirá por siempre en todos los que lo conocieron.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Freddy A Castrillon, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away on February 13, 2026, in Ruskin, Florida, at the age of 70 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 21, 1955, in San Jerónimo, Antioquia, Colombia, he came to this country to build a better future for his family. Through hard work and sacrifice, he provided them with a beautiful life filled with love and opportunity.
He was the husband of Maria Piedad Castrillon, father to Lina Ruiz (George Ruiz) and Carlos Castrillon (Adriana Castrillon), and grandfather to Paris, Luna, Camila, and Daniela, whom he adored deeply.
He will be remembered for his beautiful smile that could brighten any room, his joyful sense of humor, his generosity, strong faith, love of old-school salsa and Argentine tangos, and his passion for soccer — especially Atlético Nacional and Real Madrid.
His legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will live on in all who knew him.

All contributions will be given to LifePath Hospice Sun City Center Hospice House (Ruskin, FL, US) in his name, preserving his legacy of compassion and care.
