Frank Lee Biggs' Obituary
Frank “Butch” Lee Biggs, Sr., 72, passed away February 11, 2016. He was born June 16, 1943 in Tampa, Florida to the late Charles and Madeline (Whaley) Biggs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Carol Brammell; brothers, Leland and Charles Biggs, Jr. and granddaughter, Cara Biggs.
Frank was a lifelong resident of Tampa. When he was a young man, he worked for almost 10 years as an iron worker and belonged to the Iron Workers Local #397. Later he was owner of Little Whaleys on 40th, Biggs Market at Sligh and Nebraska and managed Whaleys Markets on South Howard and N. Dale Mabry.
Frank enjoyed raising chickens, camping with his family and attending flea markets.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Fredinell; sons, Frank Jr. and his wife Darbi of Apollo Beach; and Rocky and his wife Wendy of Lutz; sister, Jewel Herrli of Venice, Florida; sister-in-law, Nita Biggs of Zephyrhills, Florida; grandchildren, Gabriel, Rocky Jr., Blake and Haley Biggs; great grandson, Ashton Biggs; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592. Memories and condolences may be left online at www.sunset-fh.com.
