Ferdinand Barbosa Justiniano's Obituary
Ferdinand Barbosa Justiniano, 80 of Rosario Penon, San German Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully and went to be with his Savior on July 23, 2022, after a long and courageous battle. Ferdinand was born in October of 1941, to Tito Barbosa and Victoria Justiniano.
Ferdinand moved to Passaic, New Jersey at the age of 17, where he later met and married his wife of 59 years, Aida Silva. Ferdinand and Aida raised their three children, Zoraida, Esther, and Ferdinand Jr, in New Jersey. He and Aida instilled the love for Jesus Christ in their three children. Upon a well-deserved retirement as a Machinist, Ferdinand and Aida retired to sunny Valrico, Florida.
Ferdinand’s love of music and passion for guitar playing was inspired by his father. He along with his six brothers and his father were all guitar players. Ferdinand loved playing Bolero’s on his guitar and Aguinaldos, Mapeye and Decimas on his Puerto Rican Cuatro. He was a “Jibaro hasta la Muerte”. He also cherished every moment he had with his eight grandchildren, Kathryn, Aida Nicole, Luciano Jr, Ellison Jared, Sarah, Elijah, Armando, and Oliveah. He was a loving, honorable husband, dedicated and devoted father and an adoring, affectionate grandfather.
Whenever Ferdinand walked into a room or met a familiar person or a stranger, his smile warmed everything around him. His humor and wit brought a smile and laughter to those he encountered. He could engage with the most intellectual and be humbled by the meekest. He truly followed Christ’s Golden Rule “Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you”
Ferdinand’s friends and family are invited to share a celebration of his life in a way that he wanted to be remembered, with plenty of music and fellowship in a comforting environment. He wanted to be remembered as he used to be, smiling, laughing, with his guitar in his hand, wearing his casual linen shirt or Guyabera surrounded by his loving family and wonderful friends.
“Fill not your heart with pain and sorrow but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, laughter, the smile. I’ve gone to rest for a little while…”
