Fabio Toledo's Obituary
Fabio Toledo, 92, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026. Born on May 1, 1933, in Tampa, Florida, Fabio lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, hard work, and an unwavering belief that family was everything.
Fabio proudly served his country in the United States Navy, spending four years on a destroyer during the Korean War, followed by four years in the Naval Reserves. After his military service, he began a long and respected career with Amoco Oil Company, where he worked for 25 years as a Master Blender. Outside of his professional life, Fabio was deeply involved in his community, volunteering at St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he took great pride in his contributions.
Fabio survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Toledo, with whom he shared 75 wonderful years of marriage. He is also survived by his children: Kenneth Toledo (Alina), Richard Toledo, Gary Toledo (DeeAnn), Carol Toledo, and Grace Fitzgerald (Tom). He leaves behind a large and loving legacy through his grandchildren: Alexis, Jenna, Ryan, Sarah, Christopher, Jordan, Laura, Matthew, Tyler, Ashley, Andrew, Michael, Peter, and Josh. He is also survived by his brother, George Toledo, and his sister, Orchid Leal.
Fabio was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermina Toledo and Fabio Toledo; his brother, Robert Toledo; his daughter, Lori Finkbeiner; his grandson, Adam Scalzo; and his granddaughter, Jennifer Scalzo.
Those who knew Fabio will remember the way he made everyone feel like family. His home was always open, and in his younger days, there was often a pot of sauce simmering on the stove, bringing people together around his table.
A service and funeral will be held on Monday, April 13, at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Fabio will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
