Cain, Evelyn Gail's Obituary
In Memory of Evelyn Gail Cain
Evelyn "Gail" Cain passed into Jesus'
arms on January 6, 2025. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife to Donald Brickey Sr., mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Evelyn Gail Cain was born in Plant City, Florida, to John M. Cain and Laura B. Cain on April 1, 1938.
She loved singing, dancing, going to the beach, going to the drive-in movies, and just hanging out with her friends and family. After giving her heart to Jesus, she loved going to church, conferences and bible studies. She loved Jesus more than anything and it showed in the way that she lived her life. She loved people unconditionally, never judging or criticizing and she would give you the clothes off of her back, never hesitating to help someone in need. She was full of life and so much fun. She never missed an opportunity to tell you about Jesus and, when you asked her how she was, her response was always, “I’m blessed!”
She was a single parent for most of her life and raised four children who loved her dearly.
Gail was preceded in death by her daughter Brenda Suhar, her brother James Cain, her parents, John and Laura Cain and the father of her children, Donald Brickey, Senior.
She is survived by her son Donald Brickey, Jr. (Karen), her daughters, Tammy Johnson (William “BJ”), Donna Reed, her brother Charles Cain, and by her 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
Her graveside service is scheduled on January 24, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. It will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 North U.S. 301 in Thonotosassa, Florida 33592.
Please dress casually for the service
If you are not able to attend the service, you can remember Gail by sending flowers or giving generously to your local church or Christian charity in her honor.
Gail stated before her death that she was ready to go home to be with Jesus. So, let’s rejoice in the fact that she is now in Jesus’ arms.
1 Corinthians 13:13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
We love and miss you. "Hallelujah!!!“
