Eva E. Martinez's Obituary
Eva Efrosina Martinez of Tampa, Florida, 83, devoted catholic woman went to be with the Lord and Savior on December 8, 2019. Eva was born in Ecuador in a small town called Samborondon on November 1, 1936 to Adan Martinez and Lina Leon. Eva was married to her beloved husband Victor Angel Melo in 1964.
Eva was a beloved wife who later in two years became a widow of Victor Angel Melo. Eva was a loving mother that adored her three children, Miguel (Juana) Romero, Lina (Jose Diaz) Melo and Victor Melo. Eva imigrated to the USA in 1968 where she set residence in the Bronx. Eva was a long time resident of Brooklyn, NY and worked in several factories a seamstress all her life. She retired in New York, in 1998. Evita was a faithful member of Saint Sylvester church in Brooklyn, NY. She preceded in death by her father Adam and mother Lina her older sister Olinda and her youngest son Victor.
She is survived by her oldest sister Telefora; and her two children Miguel Romero and Lina Melo. She is also survived her nine grandkids, Miguel Romero Junior, Christina Lopez, Alexandra Nieves, Victor Francisco Melo, Christian Romero, Ashley Melo, Victor Mario Melo Jr, Crystal Vasquez and Leah Melo.
Funeral Service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592 on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11am. Visitation 10-11am. Graveside Service will follow chapel service Sunset Funeral Memory Gardens at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made in Eva's memory to Catholic Church of Saint Sylvester, 416 Grant Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11208.
