Yolanda Vargas Tavares was born on January 1, 1970 and gained her angel wings in the
comfort of her own home on August 24, 2020. Yolanda is an angel in heaven and on earth.
Yolanda is a pure soul, filled with love, happiness and energy. Yolanda is a fearful, strong and
independent womxn. Yolanda came to America in 1992 to live the American dream. Yolanda’s
eldest daughter, Emily was born in 1997 and her youngest, Laurie in 2000. Yolanda stayed in
America to provide her two daughters a better life than her own upbringings. Yolanda worked
countless jobs to support her family. Yolanda started a business in Florida called Mi Sol.
Yolanda was a business owner for 8 years. Yolanda gave her life, blood, sweat, and tears to her
business. Yolanda loves to laugh, dance, and spend time with her daughters, and
granddaughter- Cookie. Yolanda’s surviving family members are: Emily Marie Rodriguez (23),
Laurie Ann Rodriguez (20), Cookie Rodriguez (12), father of children Walter Ivan Rodriguez
(56), brother Edith Jiovanni Vargas (54), sister Yvelice Altagracia Vargas (58), uncle Eugenio
Amador (70), boyfriend Francisco Javier Gomez (49). Yolanda has impacted lives worldwide,
including in the Dominican Republic, New York, New Jersey and Florida. Yolanda’s light, and
ray of sunshine will live throughout her daughters, family and friends.
