Esther Geraldine Flippen's Obituary
Esther was born to Marshall and Ethel Horton on May 2, 1931 in Topeka, Kansas. She passed away peacefully at home in Riverview, FL surrounded by her loved ones.
She was a member of the Lady Elks and served on the Board of Lillie Rice in Kennewick, WA. She enjoyed reading, quilting, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family.
She moved with her mother to Bell, CA in 1940, where she met her future husband and married on September 20, 1947. After retirement in 1981, they made their home in Walla Walla, WA. She moved to Florida in 2001.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Tom) Richardson of Plant City, FL; son: James (Jolene) Flippen of Ephrata, WA; Daughter-in-law: Kathy Flippen of Goodyear, AZ; grandchildren: Raymond (Jennifer) Ralls of Kennebuck, ME; Laura (Michael) Irizarry of Plant City, FL; Steven (Lois) Flippen of Anchorage, AK; great-grandsons: Jacob Doon-Ralls of Columbus, OH; Anthony and Jonathin Irizarry of Plant City, FL; Maddox and Jackson Ralls of Kennebuck, ME; great-granddaughters: Abagail Flippen of Anchorage, AK. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Franklin Flippen in 1985, father Marshall, mother Ethel, sister Mary Francis, brothers Vivian, Willard, Milburn and son George.
Esther will be buried in Walla Walla, WA and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
