Ella Agatha Cain's Obituary
Ella Cain, age 86, of Brandon, FL (originally St. Elizabeth, Jamaica) passed away Nov. 1st, 2021 in the care of her family and hospice from cancer.
Ms. Cain was a woman of incredible strength, discipline, and determination. She was known for her uncompromising spirit and purposeful pursuit of each goal she set her mind to. After initially making her home in England in the 1950s, and then New York in the 1970s, she followed 2 of her 3 children to Brandon, FL in the late 1990s. This has been her home ever since, making friends, finding a place of worship, and maintaining an active role in the lives of her children and grandchildren until her passing.
Ms. Cain is survived by her oldest living daughter, Vivienne Gordon, and son, Paul Whyte. Her oldest daughter, Donna Holness, preceded her in passing. Ms. Cain has 4 living siblings, Masmore (Mas), Earl, Olivene and Carol. She also has 5 grandchildren, Anna, Judy, Saeed, Maya, and Andrew, and one great grandson, Reuben.
Services to celebrate Ella’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, with entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the services. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Saturday at Sunset Funeral Home.
