Elizabeth Carolyn Younker's Obituary
Elizabeth Carolyn Younker, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 30, 2024, at her home in Seffner, FL, where she had lived for over 50 years. Born on February 23, 1944, in Newark, NJ, Elizabeth was 80 years old at the time of her passing.
Elizabeth was a dedicated member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, where she was actively involved in her community. Her passion for education was evident through her over 30-year career with the Hillsborough County Public School System, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues.
She is survived by her loving husband, William; children, William and Crystal; grandchildren, Crisann, Jackson, and Jeremy; and great-grandchild, Quinn. She was predeceased by her son, Maurice. Elizabeth is also survived by her siblings, Richard, Nancy, and Martin.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at the chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens (11005 N US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, FL 33592) on September 9, 2024, with a viewing at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM and then a graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
