Elaine Eland Price's Obituary
Elaine Eland Price, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, in Tampa, Florida, surrounded by love and faith.
Elaine’s greatest passion was her faith in God and the love she had for her family and friends. She prayed with and for anyone that needed it. She was a helping hand to anyone in need which made her an amazing social worker too. She gave the warmest hugs, the kind you could feel long after they ended, and offered her time, energy, and kindness without hesitation. Her legacy is one of compassion, connection, and joy.
She was a radiant presence in the lives of those who knew her, remembered for her joyful spirit, unwavering devotion to family, and a smile that could light up any room. Elaine was the cherished wife of Robert Price, her partner in life and travel of 43 years. Together, they explored the world—from the sun-soaked shores of the Bahamas to the icy beauty of Iceland—always hand-in-hand, creating memories that reflected the adventurous spirit she carried in her heart.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Bertha Durk and sisters Sonja and Sally of Cleveland, Ohio.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert; devoted daughters, Tara Price and Tammy Goddard; her loving granddaughters, Tamara Wescott, Rachael Ramzani, and Virginia Goddard; and her treasured great-grandsons, Anthony Wescott and Robert Wescott. Elaine also leaves behind her best friend, Jodie, with whom she shared monthly “best friend dates” that brought her joy and laughter through the years.
"Think Of Me but not always with sadness. Think of me and all of the moments we shared I live in your heart; I will always stay there... Smile for me when you see those stars in the sky, I spend my days watching over you from way up high. Think of me in moments that make your heart soar, through the joys in your life, remember me more. Dry those tears and clear your view, look for me in all of the little things I left behind, they will always be a part of you. So, when you think of me, don't think of me in sorrow, I am with you through all of your tomorrows. For in this life, we are intertwined forever through our hearts and minds."
A visitation will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home in Thonotosassa, Florida, followed by funeral services at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor David Hara.
Elaine’s light will live on in every heart she touched, and her memory will forever be a blessing.
