Edwin George Van Valkenburg's Obituary
Edwin George Van Valkenburg, 95, of Brandon, Florida went into the loving arms of his savior, February 5, 2025, at home surrounded by family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly and forever missed by family and those who knew him.
Edwin was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Annette Van Valkenburg; parents, Edwin Van Valkenburg and Bessie Van Valkenburg Setzer, brother Ronald Van Valkenburg and sister Grace Wallace. He is survived by his children Debra (Romie) McCoy of Dover, Donna (Jesus) Diaz of Seffner, Dianna (Benny) Jordan of Brandon, and Edwin (Rene) Van Valkenburg II of Plant City; 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; sister Catherine Nix; and many nieces and nephews.
After 22 years of service in the Army, Edwin retired and worked for the Postal Service retiring after 20 years of service. He was a Master Mason, and member of the Buccaneer Winnies Winnebago Club.
He will be laid to rest at:
