Edward Durgadin's Obituary
Edward Kenrick Durgadin, 83, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born on August 20, 1942, in Gasparillo, Trinidad, Edward immigrated to the United States in
1969 and proudly became an American citizen.
Edward earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering and enjoyed a
distinguished career as an aerospace engineer. Known for his sharp mind and love of
solving hard problems, he was a lifelong learner who inspired those around him with his
intelligence, determination, and curiosity.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Rascheida; his daughter, Natasha; his son- in-law, Harold; his grandchildren, Lucien, Roman, Blaise, Matthew, and Bella; and his sisters Lauraine , Ann Marie and Marlene. He was predeceased by his son, Edward Kelsey and his younger brother, Danny Roger.
Edward was devoted to his family and found joy in many pursuits. He loved fast cars,
especially his Porsche; taught himself to play the guitar; enjoyed working in his yard;
traveled widely; and appreciated sports especially cycling, soccer, football and boxing. Generous of spirit and warm-hearted, Edward touched the lives of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N US Highway 301, Thonotosassa,
FL 33592, on November 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a funeral
service at 12:00 p.m.. A dove release and reception will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00
p.m..
Edward’s memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all whose lives he enriched.
