Dorothy Pearl Busciglio's Obituary
Dorothy Pearl Busciglio, 85, passed away February 23, 2016. She was born February 11, 1931 in Macon, Georgia to the late John and Margaret (Mills) Cooper. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Busciglio; daughters, Kathryn Brock and Jeanie Huggins; son, Peter Busciglio; brother, TJ Cooper; and sisters-in-law, Kaye and Sandra Cooper.
Dorothy came to the Tampa Bay area in 1954 from Augusta, Georgia. She was a Christian and a member of the Salvation Army. She liked to crochet, arts & crafts and she made dolls for 3rd world countries and bears for police and firemen to give to children in need.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tommy Lewis of Augusta, Georgia and Marty Busciglio of St. Petersburg; daughter, Tonya Busciglio of Tampa; siblings, Gene Cooper and his wife Joan of Evans, Georgia; Geneva Paul and her husband William, Billy Cooper, Bobby Cooper, Sam Cooper and his wife Mary Ellen and sister-in-law, Joan Cooper all of North Augusta, South Carolina; grandchildren, Paula, Laura, John, Jason, Anthony, Peter and Ted; great-grandchildren, Chrishell, Corrinna, Toren, Kathryn and Stuart; great great grandchildren, Ava and Alana.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592. Funeral will begin at 11:00 am. Memories and condolences may be left online at www.sunset-fh.com.
