Donna beleele's Obituary
Donna Louise Beleele, 91, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024.
Born Donna Louise Lafady on September 11, 1933, in Longview, Washington and raised in
Tacoma. She lived a life filled with adventure, traveling across the United States and even
residing in England.
Donna married Harold Leslie Beleele on February 2, 1949. Harold served in the United States
Air Force for 25 years, taking the couple on many exciting journeys. Harold predeceased Donna
on April 14, 1978. Donna remained devoted to her husband and never remarried.
Donna dedicated a significant portion of her life to serving her country. She embarked on a
career as a civil servant at MacDill Air Force Base, initially working in the commissary for 15
years. Later, she transitioned to a role as a computer data processor at Special Operations
Command. Upon her retirement, she was honored with the Air Force's highest civil service
award and received a plaque recognizing her 11 years of dedicated service in Central Command.
Donna was a loving mother to four children: Sherry, Michael, Randy, and Laurie. She was like a

nd mom to her children’s spouses, Melvin Cossey, Deni Beleele, Cindy Beleele and Walt
Marsicano. Donna was a cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren and a proud greatgrandmother to 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Donna was predeceased by her sister, Joyce Parish, and her grandson, Mark Cossey.
Donna had a zest for life. She was a passionate sports fan, cheering on her beloved Tampa Bay
teams in football, hockey, and baseball. She enjoyed the quiet pleasures of reading and solving
crossword puzzles. Travel was another of her passions, and she cherished the opportunity to
explore new places. Most importantly, Donna treasured family gatherings, finding immense joy
in spending time with her loved ones.
A small family graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Monday,
December 30, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
The family will also hold a celebration of life at a future date and time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifePath Hospice of Tampa in Temple Terrace.
Donna will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
