Donald Barnes passed away, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories with his family and friends.
Donald had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature, he found peace and happiness outside. He was a dedicated hunter for many years and treasured the time he spent at his hunting camp in North Florida, where he formed lasting friendships and created countless memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thayer and Barbara (Crowder) Barnes.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Janis Barnes; his son, Robert Peek Sr.; his daughter, Sherri (Barnes) Moore, and her husband, Ian Moore; his brother, Daniel Barnes, and his wife, Tammy Barnes; and his sister, Donna Barnes.
He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Robert Peek Jr., Bryce Borsdorf, Grace Borsdorf, and Tanner Peek, who will forever carry his memory and the lessons he shared.
A service will be announced at a later date. The family will reach out.
Donald will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his dedication to his family, and the quiet joy he found in the simple pleasures of life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
