Dolores "Mama D" Smith's Obituary
Dolores “Mama D” Smith, 84, of Zephyrhills, went home to the Lord on July 5, 2024.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Mama D loved to shop, especially at Walmart, where she could spend hours just looking around and enjoying every minute. She also enjoyed eating at the Golden Corral restaurant, she liked that she could have “a little of this, and a little of that”. But, more than anything else in the world, she enjoyed being with her family, to whom she would offer advice, or criticism if needed. She was always ready with a warm hug and wisdom for whoever needed her insight. Mama D was the glue that held her family together. She was adored and treasured by everyone she knew. She will be remembered and missed every day.
Dolores was preceded in death by her mother, Naomi “Nanny” Harrison, and her sister, Barbara Hale.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, David “Wayne” Smith; her children, Terrell Prine, Sr, Jerrell Prine, and Vonda Prine; grandchildren, Ishla Anderson, Kami Prine, and Terrell Prine, Jr.: great-grandchildren, Natalie, Kilee, and Scarlett; her brother, Clifford Bohannan; and 2 nieces, Debbie and Lisa.
