DeLoris G. Blanton's Obituary
DeLoris G. Blanton, 88, of Tampa, FL passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026. She was born in High Springs, FL to Ralph and Lettie Giddens. DeLoris was a graduate of Jefferson High School in Tampa and married Tucker Blanton at the age of 18. She was a homemaker, school volunteer, and worked at Honeywell in Tampa. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and her family will cherish her memory forever.
DeLoris (affectionately known as “Granny” to some) is survived by her daughter, Gail DeMott (Randy), sisters Virginia Boney (Bruce) and Sue Foy, brother Jonathan Giddens, granddaughters Stefanie Pierce (Kyle) and Sara Newman (Jordan), great granddaughter, Nora Pierce, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends that she considered family.
She loved her family dearly and always enjoyed everyone being together. She was predeceased by her husband, Tucker Blanton, and her son, Steven Blanton. She will be greatly missed by all. A service will be held on July 10, 2026 at Sunset Memory Gardens, Thonotosassa, FL.
