Delmer L. Rhoden's Obituary
Delmer L. Rhoden, 91, passed away July 06, 2018. He was born June 30, 1927 in Texhoma, OK to the late Frank and Maude Rhoden. After high school Delmer joined the US Army, and then worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. He had retired from Central Maintenance and Fabricators.
Delmer was a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church. He loved to travel and with late wife Violet were able to see most of the USA during their 39 years of marriage. In addition to travelling Delmer also loved to collect things and work with his hands; however, his greatest joy was being with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are son Steve Rhoden and his wife Sharon of Houston, Texas; stepsons, Bill Hill and his wife Irene of Valrico; Charlie Hill and his wife PJ of Apollo Beach; Ed Hill and his wife Sondra of Lithia; sisters in law, Alice Ashmore and her husband Bryce of Seffner; and Florence Clarke of Brandon, brother in law Leland Hawkins; grandchildren, Anna, Crystal, Violet, Nikki, Stacy, Chaz, Vanessa and Eddie; 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
There will be a Funeral Service on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 am at Bell Shoals Baptist Church, 408 Apollo Beach Blvd. Apollo Beach, Florida 33572. Interment to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 N. US Highway 301, Thonotosassa, Florida 33592.
