DeJuana Fay Genco's Obituary
DeJuana Fay Genco, 62, peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by the love of her family. She went to heaven while her daughters were by her side, holding her hands, a moment of deep love and peace that her family will forever cherish. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
DeJuana was known for her vibrant spirit and her deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. She loved gardening, especially caring for her beautiful roses, and found great peace near the water, whether at the beach or anywhere she could enjoy the calm of the ocean. One of her greatest joys was attending her grandson’s baseball games, where she proudly cheered him on from the stands. She also loved shopping and spending time enjoying delicious food and drinks with family and friends.
DeJuana was truly beautiful, both inside and out. She had a radiant smile that could light up a room, and her warmth and laughter made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. She will be remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the way she brought comfort and joy to those blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her father, her grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and so many loved ones who will surely be waiting to welcome her at heaven’s gates.
She is survived by her husband, Dan, who stood by her during her battle with breast cancer; her loving daughters, DeNisha Rodriguez (Christopher) and Chelsea Moffitt (Joseph); her cherished grandsons, Christopher Jr. and Jaxon, with another beloved grandson on the way, Maverick; her mother, Gertrude Robinson, who meant the world to her; her caring sisters, Doree Vizzi and DeAnn Lazzarino; her lovely nieces; and many extended family members and dear friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
A service to celebrate DeJuana’s life will be held on March 20, 2026, from 2:00–3:00 PM at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes peace in the promise of eternal life and the hope of being reunited with her again one day, finding comfort in imagining her tending to the most beautiful roses in heaven and smiling in the presence of Jesus.
