David Scott Hryc's Obituary
David S. Hryc left us on June 1, 2022, after a brief battle with an aggressive form of esophageal cancer. David, 57, passed in his home with his two children and grandchildren holding his hand. David was born on November 6, 1964, in Manville, NJ to Harry and JulieAnn Hryc. The family relocated to Florida early in David's childhood and in 1981 David met his future wife, Roxanne. The pair married shortly after on July 1, 1983, at the young ages of 16 & 19, celebrating 39 years of marriage. In 1984 they welcomed their son Christopher David (Ashley) and in 1991 their daughter Samantha Ann (Kevin).
David spent the first half of his career working in logistics and transportation management for large corporations such as Ryder and Walmart. In 1998, David and his brother started Southwind Transportation. David remained dedicated to the business for the next 24 years from a small laundry room operation out of his home into the 2 acre full functioning shop and fleet that it is today. Meanwhile, David always made sure every employee received thanksgiving and Christmas gifts and always had snacks and drinks in the office for everyone.
David's legacy and memory will live on in his 5 grandchildren Logan (7) Callahan (5) Abigail (4) Makayla (9 months) & Luke (9 months). While their time with Pop Pop was short it was full of love, laughter, and many memories that they will cherish forever.
